Light fittings getting fitted!

Why don’t the chrome trims fit the window size & shape!!!

Fitting the windows are one of the worst jobs on an MGB GT!

Doors, Bonnet & Tailgate

I received a few photos from Chris at the bodyshop this evening, showing the doors, bonnet & tailgate looking splendid in BRG.

It’s amazing how things are at a stage now where it’s all coming together very quickly.

Next week, the plan is to start re-assembly… exciting stuff 🙂

Green Day!

Saturday 2nd December 2017 – Green Day!

Today’s the day Murphy got green, and my goodness, what a beauty…

Flattening and colour choice

Following priming, Chris has been busy flattening the paintwork in readiness for the main coat.

Primer Day…

It’s been six months, and here were are… the big day, where Murphy gets primed!

I was absolutely in awe of how Chris did this, and so pleased to see the shapes and curves that I love so much about the MGB GT suddenly start to reappear before my very eyes.

This is exciting stuff, so hold on tight…

Month 6 update…

With Murphy’s main aspects of metalwork taken care of, it’s time to blend things in and start shaping.

Using a fairly fine layer of filler, Chris’s fine eye to detail, plus some elbow grease, starts to bring the shape back, as we get closer and closer to respray.

Month 5 update…

It’s pretty much five months to the day, and strip-down to bare metal is nearly complete.

Good news is the chrome sill covers have been removed, and the sills are looking OK… phew!
